“The exhibition features the European premiere of a new film installation, WORDS, PLANETS. Laida Lertxundi’s solo exhibition WORDS, PLANETS is at LUX, London, from 3 June to 7 July 2018. Born as a spin-off of Mousse, the contemporary art magazine, Mousse Publishing was created to give every printed project originality, care, and respect. Mousse Publishing makes books with artists, writers, public and private institutions, galleries, and other art and cultural initiatives. Our focus is on artist monographs and artist books, conceived and created in concert with the artist. Mousse Publishing also releases online contents, printed ephemera, and artist editions. Lertxundi's work is filmed on 16mm in a process she calls Landscape Plus, which combines filmic records of people and places with an emphasis on visible sources of sound and music, resulting in sensual languid passages, bodily desire, and existential awareness. She presents a suite of recent works produced through a process she refers to as “landscape plus,” which marries observational photography with music, actions, and chance events.
